Know your daytime demand
Commercial solar works best when its output is considered alongside the business load profile. Gather interval data and note operating hours, seasonal demand and planned equipment changes.
Look at the site
Roof condition, available space, shading, switchboard capacity and access influence the project. If the roof needs work, discuss timing before planning an installation.
Confirm ownership and approvals
For a leased site, establish the landlord’s consent and responsibilities. Network connection requirements and any relevant approvals should be assessed as part of the project.
Compare a complete proposal
Look for the proposed equipment, expected generation assumptions, installation scope, business disruption, monitoring, maintenance and warranty details. Ask how a change in tariffs or usage would affect the estimate.
